Their origin are the arctic islands , from Melville island to Ellesmere island.

The pack excists out of 5 wolves.

McKinley and his sister Ellesmere were born on the 22-04-1995 in Stralsund, together they are the Alphamale and Alphafemale.

On the 29th of april Chacka, Nanok and Alaska were born in a Zoo in Leipzig. Later the pack got bigger with the birth of "Tropi, the little man" in 1997.

When the arctic wolves are born, they are dark grey. In time, the colour of their fur changes slowly from light yellow into white. It takes about 2 to 3 years.
